Former Executive Director of World Trade Center India Services Board Member of World Trade Center Association.
Presently working as the Executive Director of World Trade Center India Services council & as the Joint President of 13+ WTC’s in India, Khair has been a member of the Global Board of WTCA for over a decade; along with being the Director for WTCA Foundation. She is the Vice Chair of the WTCA Executive Steering Committee, WTCA Business Club & the Vice Chair for the WTCA Agriculture Committee. She also an active representative of the Real Estate Committee and APAC Trade Services Committee & the Digital Committee.
Khair has worked with startups under the UN Sustainable program; where she has shortlisted more than 2000+ entries and provided access to global markets, funds & mentors for scaling up.
As the founding member of CEO’s Club: Delhi Chapter, she promotes Indian Champions and Leaders in Business, Trade and Investment. Currently she is working in partnership with the central government, as well as various state governments and their investment agencies to foster investments in the region and strengthen trade relations with other countries. She is also passionate about being a Member of the India Retail Group – where she is bridging the gap between Retail and various stakeholders and looking at brands Market strategy entering into India and/or expanding into other Markets.
As the founder member, Vice President of NAREDCO MAHI, a Women Leadership Initiative, she drives her work on Gender Equality, Gender Parity, getting more women into mainstream and fostering Women Leaders. Amongst other accolades, Khair is the flagbearer of Women Empowerment & Entrepreneurship on a Global level for Pink Collars. Her initiatives serve as a ladder to realizing the importance of creating sustainability and enriching an ecosystem to encourage, support and assist the budding entrepreneurs of the country.
Some initiatives taken under her direction include the “Home Made in India” initiative- targeted at fueling the potential of MSMEs of India, and “Womenomics”- to boost budding Women Entrepreneurs that intends to provide a positive & transformational ecosystem for entrepreneurs.
In her role, Khair engages business leaders and government professionals around the world to promote India for business trade and Investment. She regularly works with Trade Organizations, Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development Agencies globally to promote Business, Trade and Investment. She also works closely with the Governments of various states on policies related with Employability, Bilateral Trade between countries and state, fostering investments, cluster development and building destinations as business magnets.
Khair holds a Master’s degree from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. She is a Certified Novell Engineer (CNE).
